Unmasking Brain Injury: First Annual Event

Location: Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre

Presented by: Oatley Vigmond

Food Sponsor: Pain Care Clinics (PCC) Hosted by:  Hamilton Brain Injury Association

About the Event

We are proud to have launched our First Annual Unmasking Brain Injury event, a heartfelt and powerful gathering that sheds light on the experiences of individuals living with acquired brain injuries (ABIs). This initiative brings together survivors, caregivers, professionals, and community members to promote awareness, reduce stigma, and celebrate resilience.

Through the creation and display of decorated masks, participants give voice to the often-invisible impact of brain injury. Each mask tells a unique story of struggle, strength, loss, and hope  helping to humanize the journey and deepen public understanding.

Our Venue

We are incredibly grateful to the Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre, our generous venue sponsor. Their beautiful, welcoming space provided the perfect backdrop for a meaningful day of connection and storytelling. We are thrilled to announce that this stunning location will be the official home of the Unmasking Brain Injury event for years to come.
